User:Connel MacKenzieBot
This account is not a sockpuppet. It is an ancillary user account for User:Connel MacKenzie which is not marked as a 'bot. Activities using pywikipediabot are run under this account. Since the account is not marked as a 'bot, items appear in Special:Recentchanges (marked as minor.) This is used for one-time 'bot runs, that need to appear in Special:Recentchanges. Since many people don't like seeing them, the work-around is to "Hide minor changes" whenever this account is doing a one-time 'bot run (very infrequently.)

Generally, such activities are discussed at length either on the Beer parlour, or in the Grease pit first. This is not a carte-blanche account - quite the opposite. All changes using this account are given perhaps extra exposure to make sure that nothing is amiss.
